This January 2015 NYCID will be presenting a 30 Hour Basic Mediation Training Seminar by Sequoia Stalder Esq.

This is a 30 hour comprehensive training that has been created to cover basic and advanced theory of skills of meditation. After completing this training students that have completed this course may be eligible to participate in mediation apprenticeship and serve as a volunteer mediator with New York Center For Interpersonal Development (NYCID). Final acceptance to an apprenticeship or volunteer panel is at NYCID's discretion.
This training will address the role of law and lawyers in mediation and will prepare participants to mediate in both court-referred and community contexts. NYCID teaches and practices in the understanding-Based approach to mediation as developed by The Center of Mediation in Law, and is the only community mediation center to offer trainings and practice opportunities in this model.

For both newly admitted and experienced attorneys
Approved under Part 146 by the NYS Unified Court System’s Office of ADR Programs. Please note that final placement on any court roster is at the discretion of the local Administrative Judge
and participation in a course that is either approved or pending approval does not guarantee placement on a local court roster.
