The time has come! Time to name our newest Team Member of the Month and the first one for 2022. At NYCID we like to remind our staff that they are always appreciated and valued, and one way we show that is through this award.
We are happy to announce that our Team Member of the Month for January 2022 is Victoria Kelly, Restorative Justice Program Manager who has been an invaluable resource and asset to our conflict management team. The environment in which Victoria works is unpredictable and she has remained confident in maintaining partnerships with the Department of Education and students. She has displayed resilience by accomplishing her day-to-day tasks while also thinking long term by scheduling 32 peer mediation training sessions and 10 basic mediation training sessions, covering the next 6 months of 2022. Victoria is someone who we can all rely on to assist with whatever may be needed.
The whole conflict management team gathered together virtually and were joined by Executive Director Michael DeVito Jr and Chief Executive Officer Candace Gonzalez. After some small talk about NYCID Zoom backgrounds the ceremony began. DeVito opened with some words about how sometimes when you don’t pay attention time goes by very quickly and how it is shocking that we have been dealing with COVID-19 for almost 2 years now. He thanked the team for being so resilient before presenting Victoria with her award. Gonzalez then congratulated her and thanked her for her dedication to NYCID.
Congratulations Victoria you definitely earned it!
