Mark your calendars for the Third Annual Cesar Sanchez Tribute Run, which will be held on May 13th. Cesar was a YABC graduate and a wonderful member of our community, taken too soon. A runner and an athlete, Cesar dedicated his time and energy to teaching local youth as a basketball coach with the Under the Lights basketball program at the Berry Homes where he lived. He was shot outside of the housing complex in September of 2014. He was getting ready to begin college before he was taken from the world.
Last year, over 200 runners came out in support of the Cesar Sanchez Tribute Run. Our 2 mile Run/Walk on the FDR Boardwalk will be at Midland Beach this year.
