(March 2019 – Staten Island, N.Y.) – The New York Center of Interpersonal Development (NYCID) is proud to announce two major promotions within the organization.
After four years of service, Tara Howard has been promoted from Clinical Supervisor to Director of Community Development. Tara’s education includes achieving a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Wagner College and Master in Social Work from Rutgers University. “I am honored to work for an agency that supports their staff and the participants of the programs. I appreciate the knowledge and growth I have experienced working for NYCID. It has been a pleasure being part of a team whom is trying to improve the lives of others. I look forward to continuing to grow within the agency, learning from fellow employees, and expanding the NYCID community through mental health services,” says Tara Howard, Director of Community Development.
In addition to Miss Howard’s new appointment, beloved Rita Geladze has been promoted from After-schools Programs Coordinator to Director of After-schools Programs. Miss Geladze attended Hunter college for Urban Studies and was recognized in 2018 by the Mozilla Foundation as one of 50 people who made the internet a better place through her work. “As the NYCID director of After-School programs I am excited to lead and empower my after-school team to serve our community better. I am excited about the new leadership team I will be joining and helping promote NYCID into the forefront as a citywide (national!) household name of an organization that improves the lives of everyday people and a thought leader in public service. My dream is for NYCID to open a community center where people can congregate under one roof supported by the four pillars of our values,” says Rita Geladze, Director of After-school Programs.
“We are so happy to announce the promotions of Rita Geldaze to Director of After School Programs and Tara Howard, Director of Community Development to our middle manager team. We are so excited to see them continue to grow and develop with NYCID and serving our Staten Island community,” says Candace Gonzalez, Executive Director.
“Tara’s education (LMSW-R) and her experience in the field of Social Work gives us the utmost confidence that she will do an outstanding job in her new role,” says Michael Candella, Senior Director of Community Development.
“Rita’s daily commitment to enhancing programs, her everlasting energy and enthusiasm for her work, is unmatched and we are lucky to have her as a leader in NYCID’s after-school department,” says Ivy Bilotti, Senior Director of After-School Programs.
