Big Bird Playhouse has been serving parents in Staten Island and providing them with a safe environment where children feel loved, respected and safe. This is a place where they learn and will grow, building a foundation for their future. We believe they can learn from play, stories, arts and crafts at their daily centers. All of our staff is warm and caring to each child’s specific needs. This will give them the confidence they need to feel good about themselves and to love and respect one another.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the implementation of daily plans and activities.
  • Monitor children and participate in activities. 
  • Maintain program site and equipment. 
  • Escort children on field trips.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to supervise children and engage in activities.
  • Participants must be at least 17 years old.
  • May not be left alone with children, and are not permitted to change diapers. 
  • Participants assigned to these duties must be in compliance with required background screenings and state and local health laws applicable to individuals working in these types of facilities.

Monday – Friday: 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM
