Launched in 2017, MindOpen Learning Strategies works with organizations, teams, and individuals to achieve social change goals through customized training, coaching, and organizational development services. We specialize in helping people and groups make the behavioral and cultural shifts that build equitable, healthy, and high-impact organizations and companies. Founded in 2017 by Elizabeth Speck, a Registered Drama Therapist and Ph.D. in Organizational Development, MindOpen has grown into a small and mighty core team with a dynamic array of skills and strengths who share a commitment to a sustainable, reflective, growth-oriented working culture. MindOpen’s team also includes dynamic subject matter experts who are innovators in their respective fields, including criminal legal systems change, workforce and community development, education, and mental health.

Responsibilities:
Interns will be matched with responsibilities based on their interests and availability, with the opportunity to explore one or more of the following areas:

Marketing, Communications & Business Growth:

  • Participate in strategic planning and performance tracking
  • Conduct market research in nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors
  • Assist with social media management, content creation, and newsletters
  • Support website updates and the design of marketing materials

Learning & Facilitation:

  • Help develop training curricula and instructional materials
  • Conduct literature reviews and assist with agenda creation
  • Support needs assessments and learning evaluations
  • Participate in or co-facilitate focus groups, meetings, and training sessions

Research & Policy:

  • Monitor data and trends in areas such as mental health, criminal legal reform, and workforce development
  • Prepare internal team briefs and summaries
  • Attend and represent MindOpen in relevant stakeholder meetings

Operations & Organizational Systems:

  • Support internal planning in HR, finance, communications, and tech tools
  • Contribute to project management and internal team systems
  • Help maintain documentation and contribute to overall organizational health

Requirements:

  • Seeking proactive and ambitious young professionals with a desire to learn and grow
  • Interest in social change, equity, and organizational development
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to participate in a collaborative, mission-driven team
  • Comfortable using or learning digital tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management platforms

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
