Workforce Initiative Job Training Programs

There are many young adults out there that drop out of school. Whether it’s due to pressures at home, from friends, or from poor decisions, these kids may be feeling like their life is out of their control, or going in an unwanted direction. NYCID has developed programs to help young people transcend their circumstances and improve their situations. Our Workforce Initiative programs are designed to help “At-Promise” 14 to 24-year-olds graduate high school and join the workforce. We offer our vulnerable youth a fresh start during a pivotal time in their personal and professional development. Through this initiative, young adults are set up with paid professional internships in a variety of different industries.

Our impact is visible in kids who see their full potential.

The Learning to Work Initiative

In partnership with the Office of Post Secondary Readiness and Alternative Pathways to Graduation,  the Learning to Work initiative provides youth with access to career counseling, college prep, and subsidized internship opportunities as they complete their high school diploma at one of our unique school settings.
