Emily Marks, NYCID, SONYC Program Director at PS 48 was recently elected President of the Staten island Rotaract Club.

The Rotaract Club is a global movement of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.

According to Emily, “I think it’s going to be a great way to reach kids with community service projects, and it’s a really cool group of young people who want to make a difference, and that is just really exciting to be a part of. We are planning on focusing on community service events for youth.”

We couldn’t be more proud of her. Emily’s commitment to a better society extends far past the hours she dedicates to our kids each day at P.S. 48.  Her passion for helping people translates into a desire to make difference across the globe.
